Our hearts are heavy as we learn of the tragic events at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. On behalf of the Siksika Board of Education, we extend our deepest sympathies to the students, families, staff, and the entire Tumbler Ridge community. No student, educator, or family should ever have to face such pain.
As a gesture of solidarity and remembrance, flags at all SBE sites were lowered to half mast yesterday and will remain lowered for the next seven days. This is a small but meaningful way for us to honour the lives affected and show our collective support.
We want to remind everyone in our community: at times like this, we must stand together. Please check in on one another. If you or someone you know needs support, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our strength lies in our compassion, and we will continue to stand in support of our neighbours and all those impacted by this tragedy.
