The 2026-27 school year marks the 30th year since the last residential school closed in 1996. In remembrance, the Siksika Board of Education is holding a T-shirt design contest to give our students an opportunity to see their artistic creations on display for Orange Shirt Day 2026.
The design should honour survivors and their families, recognize the impact the schools have had on our community, and highlight the resiliency of our people: moving forward and continually healing.
This contest is open to K-12 students attending any Siksika Board of Education school. 🎨
There will be prizes for the first five places! 🏆
